JobNugget reads your job-search inbox so you don't have to. AI sorts every email into Interviews, Job Listings, Rejections, or Irrelevant — automatically, locally, and as often as you want.
JobNugget does one thing well: surface the emails that matter, hide the ones that don't.
Every email gets sorted into Interviews, Job Listings, Rejections, or Irrelevant. No rules to write. No keywords to maintain. Claude AI does the reading.
Gmail, iCloud, Outlook, FastMail, ProtonMail Bridge, ZOHO — anything that speaks IMAP. Multiple accounts at once. Folders and subfolders supported.
Run a scan with one click, or schedule it to check every 30 minutes in the background. Get a desktop notification the moment an interview email arrives.
See active interview conversations grouped by company. Track which role is at which stage. Export everything to CSV when your career coach asks for the list.
Email credentials live in your OS keychain. Email content goes from your machine straight to Claude — no JobNugget server in the loop. Results saved to a local database.
Built in Flutter. Same fast, native experience on macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel) and Windows 10 / 11. ~30 MB download. No Electron bloat.
Add your IMAP credentials — Gmail App Password, iCloud App-Specific Password, or any other provider. Saved securely in your OS keychain.
Get a key from console.anthropic.com (takes 60 seconds). Stays on your device. JobNugget uses Claude Haiku — typical usage costs a few dollars per month.
sk-ant-...Hit Scan, or set a schedule. Open the digest to see every interview email surfaced and ranked, neatly separated from the marketing noise.
Free during beta. Bring your own Anthropic API key.
An API key is a credential that lets JobNugget call Claude AI on your behalf. You create one at console.anthropic.com — takes about a minute.
Anthropic charges your account directly based on usage. JobNugget doesn't see or store your key, and we don't charge anything beyond the (currently free) app itself.
JobNugget uses Claude Haiku 4.5, Anthropic's most cost-efficient model. Scanning 50–100 emails per day typically costs $2–5 per month, billed by Anthropic.
Heavy users with multiple accounts and 300+ daily emails might see closer to $10/month. Anthropic shows your real-time spend in their console — you're never billed by surprise.
Yes, via Gmail's App Password feature (which requires 2-Step Verification on your Google account). Generate one at myaccount.google.com/apppasswords and paste it into JobNugget's email settings.
Note: Google Workspace accounts that have App Passwords disabled by an admin won't work this way. OAuth support is on the roadmap.
It isn't. JobNugget reads your inbox via IMAP, sends each message's text to Claude for classification, and stores only the classification result (category, priority, brief reason) in a local SQLite database on your machine.
The original email stays where it always was — in your mailbox. JobNugget never copies, archives, forwards, or modifies the source messages.
Rules require you to know in advance what to filter for. JobNugget reads each email's actual content and uses AI to understand intent.
It catches the recruiter who said "would love to chat" without using the word "interview," and the job listing buried in an unfamiliar newsletter — things rule-based filters miss every time.
Not yet. JobNugget is built in Flutter, which supports Linux, but we haven't packaged a release for it. Linux support is on the roadmap — if you'd find it useful, write to [email protected] and let us know.
JobNugget Desktop is free during beta. Once it leaves beta, we plan to introduce paid tiers — but everyone who used the beta will get an extended free period or a meaningful discount as a thank-you.
Your data, settings, and configuration carry over to the paid version. Nothing breaks when the price changes.
Not from JobNugget Desktop — by design. The desktop architecture keeps your email credentials and API key off our servers entirely.
